I don't know why I listed the 3.0 to be fair

Is the 4.2 THAT much better than the 4.4? I've not driven the supercharged one yet.

Woodster, the wifes got a Sport (which I wasn't keen on) and its the 2.7 diesel V6. It pretty awesome, and making 27 mpgs so not so bad for a 2 tonner. My mate has the TDV8 vogue and loves it to bits. If you have the petrol running cost cash, the petrol ones plummet in price so you should be able to get a very tidy one for your budget. A wiser choice is diesel but it won't sit well with a petrol head

Good luck with the search..... obviously the pre March 2006 are cheaper on tax worth thinking about

Also consider a Discovery 3. It's a RR Sport underneath and in SE/HSE spec you get electric everything and leather. 2.7 diesel averages 25mpg and you get 7 seats if you need them. I love mine.

I have run two Range Rovers on LPG
My last being a 4.4V8 Vogue With a BRG system fitted.
Faultless driving for two years.
Equivalent to 30plus MPG.
Buy one converted unless you do big miles.

I concur.
The only sub-twenty thousand pound Supercharged Range Rovers I've seen have been Ropey or Leggy or Both.

No. The RRS is a Discovery underneath.

TDV8 is capable of a 27mpg average. More pricey to buy than the petrol models though and will probably hold its valie better than a petrol too.
