Just got the car back from Henley - Went in for a few bits and bobs - rattles & stuff. Come back 3 weeks later with a new slave cylinder and clutch. Drives sooo much nicer now though!

2 Days in, get he car home and there’s a small puddle under the near side wheel. It looks like there's a leak coming from the bottom of the radiator and dripping onto the cowling below. About 1 drip every 1-2 seconds. Hoses and things look OK (never the cheap option!).

Any suggestions. I see 3 options:
1. Tinker around myself - looks pretty simple to remove - 2 bolts, 2 pipes and the wires for the fans. Air box and robbie the robot pipes off and the unit should come out?
2. Try and get it to Silverstone TVR (about 15 miles away) together with 40 gallons of water on board just in case. Attempt to get it fixed on Warranty
3. Dare I say it - Radweld has sorted this sort of thing out in my Triumph's in the past - I realise this isn't quite a Triumph though

Just also noticed that where the front airbox joins the Robbie the robot pipes, some hooligan has tightened up the hose clip too much and cracked it. Bet that’s not good either.

Thanks for that. Mr AA Man had a look and a laugh and is now arranging for it to be recovered and taken to Silverstone TVR.

It does look like it's coming down the edge of the radiator, within the bodywork, so hopefully the warranty will cover this as it does not appear to be stone damaged or anything.

It's not gone yet, but I already miss it. Can't believe it's off again when I've only had it back 2 days from a 3 week stay at Henley.

Mr AA is sitting in his yellow van outside and I can just feel all the neighbours curtains twitching, they'll be p***ing themselves when the low loader arrives !

It's usually the top corner that goes, I think this is caused by the radiator flexing or twisting which it isn't designed to do, yet can do in a cerb.

Not too expensive if it isn't under the warranty.

I had mine recored recently, while I was fitting silicone hoses and stainless water pipes.

The recore (with a high performance core) was about £150 by these guys, very good service.

Silverstone are getting done under waranty. Ill try and get he old rad when they have finnished. Does the core you have make a big difference to the running temp? I quite often see the temp pop past 100, but I believe that to be fairly common.

Having a new radiator/recore should make the temp slightly lower. The original radiator will have become blocked with crap to a certain degree. Its also worth pointing out that the gauges can vary as well. I think by also using water wetter as well, can also make the temp slightly cooler.

They shouldnt let you have the old one when it is warranty work ie the old one is then owned by the warranty co !!?

I have noticed a bit of a temperature drop since putting in the recoreed radiator and the new hoses etc. It now sits at about 75 degrees cruising down the motorway.
