What's an early 90's Lexus LS 400 like?
Discussion
... It does tend to be the default large barge of choice in these parts when used in conjunction with the words reliable and all electrical bits and piences still functioning. There are few choices around that can do that many miles, with that amount of space and comfort. Imageless, ageless car.

I am currently wafting around in a 170k mile 1992 LS400 and it is fantastic. You can still barely tell the engine is running.
Get it bought!
As awesome as that is, if you do change your tune you could always try this-Get it bought!

Would provide a few double-takes.
Had two. The best barge, full stop. 16-28mpg, hard on front front discs & pads (no suprise), tyres too and require 4X4 wheel alignments every year. Known faults, LCD display as mentioned (can be purchased on exchange) and remote central locking transponder failing. Also some suffer from PAS pump leaks I believe, I think the oil ends up dripping on to the alternator. Cambelt, water pump every 60k miles along with plugs, Coolant change every two years & iirc auto box & diff oils every 36k. Great cars and a far, far better but than an S-Class or 7 Series especially if running costs are a concern.

It'll do 20mpg around town. 30 on the motorway if you're taking things steady.
Really? I don't think I've EVER seen MPG starting with a 3, but I love my LS dearly and would recommend it without hesitation.
I had to rebuild my rear suspension completely (£ouch) and the front could do with some work too, but overall it's a nice thing.
