He was a Pearl Harbour veteran apparently. Stupid/racist thing to do, but I don't really think beating him up and then shouting abuse at him really achieved a great deal. OK....it's a real pisser if it happened to your car, but really? I mean is a second hand Evo really worth beating someone up over when you could have just claimed against his insurance?!

He was a navy veteran - Perl Harbour was 65 years ago, he's not that old.

Agree with hora - sad on every level

And the British sunk the only ship that survived Pearl Harbour! (at least that is what QI said), and the only ship to be sunk by a nuclear submarine.

It was 70 years ago. And no, he's not that old.

I think those filming were pumped up on adrenaline - it certainly sounds that way. Sad that it all happened (not only because the vandal spay-painted that it was the 12th of July) but I can't help thinking it was cause and effect. Would the two who dished out the beating have done so if the vandalism didn't take place?

All in all, a bit unnecessary, really.

The Belgrano. It wasn't the only ship to survive, it was the only one to be undamaged

Ah yeah, undamaged, that was it. Still, bloke, vet or not, deserved a kicking for doing that.

I cant believe people seem to think its pretty much acceptable because he is old and was in the navy, and the subject car being 'second hand'. You absolute morons.

'just claim off the insurance' - Then you idiots will be moaning how your policies would increase in price due to no fault of your own, and nothing happen to the person who did it. No wonder we live in a pussy society.

That badly for spray painting a car though? Really? If you're going to go the revenge route, would keying every panel on his car not have been more appropriate?!

Some little chat is spray painting your car. Do you go outside and give him a good finger waggling?

Grab, and sit on. Of course, you would be able to do that in a non-violent way. Good luck.

Sorry? I can't believe I'm reading half of this stuff!
So leaving aside the stuff at the end after the bloke has had his (deserved IMO) bloody good kicking - it's a bit of a finger wagging (as said above) and an insurance claim.

How would lots of PHers feel if they got their German cars vandalised and sprayed up with st like "2 worlds wars and 1 world cup" etc etc? What kind of tosser goes doing crap like that 70 years after the event?

He brought it on himself.
