Parking sensors?

As the body shell is under refurb I was wondering what peoples view was to fitting parking sensors. I think if done discreetly they would be a good addition.
Possibly front and back

Tbh ...... Not my cup of tea, also think that parking is always going to be tricky because of the lack of power steering , its a classic car and i think that kind of mod is not really in keeping. Just my opinion good luck whatever you decide.

I had them done on my Sag. They are totally invisible from the outside, they work through the fibreglass, so you can fit them under the shell and they work quite happily.

Give Ian at Hilton and Moss a ring for the details of which ones they used (01279 813907). They had to hunt around to find them, but they were well worth fitting.

I fitted them because the Sag is so low at the front and I have to park in some very tight places. I prefer to be seen as being "uncool" or "nanny" than having to pay £100-1000s of pounds to fix damaged fibreglass + resprays.

As no one can see them, does it matter?

How would you hear them with the engine running ? I dont think they would be necessary on such a short car anyway...just my opinion.

My only experience of sensors being retrofitted was to a friends 1990 Porsche 911. The back end sloped down so steeply it was impossible to tell where the rear of the car was so at the same as he had the bumper resprayed (for the 2nd time) he had the sensors fitted. Problem solved!

I've never felt the need for them in my S but if you think the sensors will help you it doesn't really matter what others think! As said in a previous post above they are very discreet

I think that anything which enhances your enjoyment of the car is worthwhile. My every day car has front and rear parking sensors - I have to remind myself when getting in to the TVR that it will go crunch rather than beep! If there was a system which is unobtrusive and cheap I would consider. You cannot assign a definitive spec to a TVR as they are all different - so it is not possible to say this is right or wrong. And this sort of mod is reversible (no pun intended) if you wanted to sell the S.

In this weather I can't see anything out of the rear screen so I say go for especially if they can be invisible .

I have them on my Wedge and find them moost useful as they bleep/light up when engaging an ambiguous reverse gear...

Not sure about the sensors so how about a reversing cameras, you can get them so small be easy to fit one on all 4 corners ?
