Has anybody had Armourfend fitted in the North?? I'm keen to find a dealer/business that can do this for my Tuscan but so far failed to find anyone that offers the fitting service.

I would be interested in finding out as well. I'm going to have the front bonnet resrayed, then armourfend protected.

I understand that you purchase the Armourfend kit, and they then send a fitter to you, at extra cost, to put it on. Price depends on how far they have to travel. It is well worth having it put on profesionally, apparently. A kit for a Tamora is about £200, but the total for fitting etc. is around £500. Plus your front end respray.

Out of interest just had Armourfend quote for my Tuscan
- £700 for front bonnet and spoiler and rear wheel arches front and back, all of which get the greatest chipping so are probably all needed. This does include £100 travel expenses because I'm silly enough to live in West Yorkshire and the nearest fitter must live in a different universe. At this cost you could probably afford to get front bonnet and general touch up done twice, unless I'm greatly underestimating the cost of resprays - so is the rule.....if you're keeping for more than 2/3 years then worth having it done, otherwise go the 'touch up when needed' route??? Can't see it adding much to the re-sale value.

While waiting to have my Cerb checked over at a dealers recently, I had a close up look at some customers cars that had Amourfend applied. Looked ok on those which it had been applied to recently ie the new cars, but not so good on those where clearly it had been applied more than a year or so ago. In particular, the 'edge' of the armourfend stood out like a sore thumb - it looks like it's impossible to remove the residue after waxing that is left at the join and makes the edge of the amrmourfend very visible over time. Not sure if there is any solution to this but I think I'll stick to chip sticks and respays.

Agreed! - my cerbie used to have armourfend. - it looked dull and the line across the bonnet was very noticable as the dirt built up. - after the front of my car was machine gunned at Elvington, I decided to take it off and respray the front of the car. - horse for courses, but I would go for the bi-annual respray.

Definitely agree with the last 2 comments. It may look 'invisible' if fitted to a new car but becomes more noticeable over time.
Cheers..... Andrew

Yes, I noticed that on some of the cars the paintwork where the Armourfend was didn't have the same 'shine' as the rest of the car and that's something else that put me off.
