Any help appreciated!

Hi All
I'm having problems getting my Griff started.
It all started with the car refusing to rev past 4000 - 4500rpm, initially would rev freely when in neutral but eventually would even refuse to do that.
Changed the distributor cap and rotor arm, had some issues getting it started after that but eventually sorted it and had her running again but the limited revving issue still existed.
I have now changed the leads (1 at a time to ensure they are correct) then the car refused to start, it would turn over fine but just wouldn't fire. Spark at coil and spark at plugs is fine. The fuel pump is not priming so I checked the fuse and both relays and they are fine. I have connected the fuel pump directly to the battery and it kicks into life. fuel is reaching the injectors and the plugs are moist. I have tried to start it again with the pump connected to the battery but it still won't fire up.
I'm at my wits end so any tips would be most welcome.
Cheers in advance
Dave

Possibly it is now flooded if you plugs are moist.
The fuel pump priming could be an immobiliser issue, sounds like it, if it works connected directly to the battery.
When it wouldn't rev beyond 4000 rpm did it misfire or just run out of puff? It may be a fuelling issue, fuel pressure regulator? Trouble is it could get expensive just swapping out components.

Just as well cos you're not! what a completely pointless post!
tty with other owners mate. On your other thread, the one where you got lots of helpful advice from TVR owners, you said you were intending to get someone else to look at it. I was simply wondering what the outcome of that was. But I'll tell you what... go and stick it instead.

Then why didn't you ask that? Your original post was condescending and I'm sure you're aware of that! Swearing at me and telling me to go stick it !!!!........ Nice one!
Ps I'm not your mate!

Dave - think your reponse is a bit OTT - Richards question is perfectly reasonable given the ongoing issue you have - and IMHO there is no swearing in there either. Maybe now you have it running albeit poorly you can chill a bit.
Putting a question mark at the end of a statement doesn't make it a question. If s
tty isn't swearing then why is it censored???Maybe we should all be more considerate when posting!.
