Discovery issue

Hi, My 2002 LR Disco broke down twice this week. First time the recovery people put a new battery on and it ran fine for two days including a 260 mile round trip. Last night on the way home it did the same thing again as two nights before. It just cuts out as though there is no fuel supply. Left it for about an hour hand after a few attempts started and is running again. Can't be doing with it doing this every couple of days so I have taken into a garage. Any ideas on what could be causing would be gratefully received.

Possibly the fuel pump. Apparently they are a common problem on the TD5.
