In need of some help, I have owned my chim for 6 months now, and it has a slightly lumpy tick over which I can't get to the bottom of. I have replaced the ht leads, distributor cap and arm, cleaned the stepper motor and had the plenum off and cleaned that to, changed the manifold gaskets, changed the ecu temp sensor, reset the base idle, i have also checked for air leaks from afm to plenum to which there is not. it idles better but not as well as I would like.I don't want to start replacing parts that are not at fault. Has any one on here had this fault too and how did you solve it? Any help would be much appreciated

Cheers EGB I don't know of any one else with a chimaera so I have nothing to compare with but that makes sense, I may just need to stop being so picky and enjoy
There are a few in your general area.Shame you missed; Supercar Sunday at The Blackbird Pub, Newbury, as there were 2 Chims (400 and 500) and a Griff 500, (not forgetting Macey's 6 pot of course
).There is also the Ace Cafe every month (21st this month).
I have never known a TVR owner that won't start his/her engine for someone to have a listen

EGB is most probably right.
A lot of RV8s have had a cam change by 50k miles, and many people can just not resist having something a 'little bigger' when that time comes.
No I made a full data logger that monitors all the ECU inputs and outputs and gives me the signal waveforms and voltages on a laptop. Its built into an old 14cux case, and sits in line to the ECU. I did wonder about trying to build more on a comercial basis, but there is just too much wiring involved to do it at a sensible cost, so grabbing the serial data is a lot easier, although not as pretty when it comes to the waveform displays. Im certainly interested on one of Steve's units if it gives me more data than I have already.
