MSA on line licence renewal

Great service for my 2012 licence renewal (no upgrades and non-race National B).

Filled in the bits on the MSA website on the 28th of November and the new licence and Blue Book arrived 5 days later.

also if u need a medical u can reuse last years medical as long as it is less than a year old!!

They were really quick with mine too. And they're helpful on the phone too - real humans!

Didn't work for me I'm afraid. I think its because I was honest and ticked the "Treated for high blood pressure" box.
I now have to do mine by post and it has the box that asks if your medical was within 3 months

I could google this I spose, but whats a Non-Race racing licence? Is it for officials?

Its for sprints and hillclimbs i think.

A non-race licence is for speed events - eg, sprints, hillclimbs and drag racing.

I'd forgotten that the MSA web site was apparently built by a autistic 12 y/o. Every year, I have to fight with the damn thing to get my address right. Still, the licence arrives, so I suppose I shouldn't bh too much. I do wonder about the security of it, though.

Couldnt do mine on line because i need a new medical, but by being crafty and having the med done later in Jan i should be able to get 2 years on 1 medical, ie/ get next years before this med runs out.
Will this work ?
Having said that its maybe not a bad thing for a bloke of my age to have a medical every year

Same for me, I am blind in one eye so have to speak to them & do it by post, they are usually very helpful though.

I can't fault them and the renewal of my 'non-race national B' couldn't have been easier. I completed the online form on Sunday, got email on Monday to confirm and have just this minute picked it up off the doormat. Excellent service!

Yep, splendid service , applied online for new 2012 license, 2 days later new licenses appears in the post............ well done all at the MSA
