All you need to do is drive your Jago to a local windscreen place or plant glazers and they should be able to do it there and then. To make sure ring them first. At least that way the new screen will actually fit properly as believe it or not there are some slight variations which means the screen if bought less the vehicle can be too tight or too slack.

If you`re up Suffolk way then come to sunny Leiston (near Sizewell, and no we don`t all glow in the dark) and I can help you out....I work for a glazing company, and it`s a fairly simple job with 6.4mm laminate.

Thanks for your helpful suggestions... unfotunately the Geep has no MOT (all that is needed is the windscreen!) and I don't have another form of transport so can't drive it somewhere to have the glass remade. I live in Sussex and have found a place that will cut me 6.4mm laminate but again I have to get there!

Anyone know any careful taxi drivers?!!!!

No MOT is not a problem if the windscreen is all that is wrong, arm yourself with the mot fail sheet and your insurance cert and drive to the windscreen workshop - you are allowed to drive an MOT failure to a place of repair!
