Chopping your big, heavy, old Mini DV Camcorder?

I can use it! I'm looking for something that works, that takes mini DV tapes and is fairly robust to strap to the bracket on my track car for on-track, on-car footage.

I was going to buy the cheapest new one I could find (about £250) but then thought that someone on here might be interested in offloading their old one. I'll throw in a few passenger laps if that makes it cheaper!
