Cheap Tyre Fitting in Cambridge

Anyone know a cheap place to get tyres fitted in Cambridge? I used to get them done for £5 a wheel but since I've moved here I'm struggling to get below £15...seems crazy money given that it's on loose wheels and should only be half an hours work for all 4.

Seems about right now days. I think most places put their price up to stop just being a fitting service while people order and bring in cheap tyres of Camskills and the like.
My local place is £15 fit and balance. The local East European car wash place fits tyres and a balance for £10 and I was stupid enough to try a make a saving , end result was I broke a socket on a 24inch breaker bar trying to remove one of the nuts he did with an air gun.

The trick is just to find a backstreet garage that has a tyre machine. The mainstream places cost a bomb but if you're running a little garage and have a spare half an hour between jobs why wouldn't you want to at least make £20 for a bit of work?

The trouble is, I haven't found one here yet. I think £120 an hour is a pretty extortionate labour rate...

Anyone? I really don't want to spend £60 each time I get tyres changed as I swap them around and get through them pretty quick on trackdays.

Why not buy some cheap wheels for the track tyres?

Shop around, ask if they discount if you're changing all 4.

Ultimately, if £15 per tyre is the going rate then there's not a lot you can do about it other than DIY!
