What's the best skid control course?

Can anyone advise what they think is the best skid control course in the country....

Out of my sample of the one I have been on I would highly recommend the Prodrive winter driving course.

All you need to know and plenty of time to practice in your own car not something with a silly frame attached!

Despite my comment above this isn't my own car!

we are off to Colin Hoads course in spring in their caterhams, to do the specific drift/over the grip course which was highly commended.

I did a gymkhana with Colin a little while back. Hated the Caterham (each to his own!) but did the course in my Boxster instead. They start by showing you the course, then split the small group up to smaller teams to do the training in stages, then you get to compete against each other in a couple of timed runs over the course. I think for grip limit training for the track this works better than the funny hiked-up saloon car training you'd generally go on for road control.

Not sure how many people have done all of the available courses so everyone will recommend the one they have done.

Done that, a very good course, I always hated Caterhams but did the CAT course and oh did I love the Caterham, oh yes I did and I am an OAP!!

I've done the Rockingham skid pan course in my 530 sport, and a wet skid training day in an mx5 so hoping that Colins course is a step up on the above, which were ok but a bit short.

Colin's course is much better than Rockingham.

thats what people are saying. all i want is some good solid coaching practise at throttle oversteer and balancing it.

You will get that with Colin (CAT Driver Training).

Closest thing to the OP is Oulton Parks drift stages, you can do a day there in your own car for about £130, you get lots of practice time and instruction is available. These are run by Driftone and Oulton themselves, JonnyJones from Driftone posts on here.

They look like sprint courses with a good variety of corners but it's all low grip so you get sideways very easily and there's virtually zero tyre wear.
