I'm going to advertise these in the PH classifieds but thought I'd ask here first.

I have a set of smart rear lights with grey indicators and grey reverse lights.

The consensus is that most scrappies ask £20 each for the ordinary orange/red/white escort ones. These have already been modernised with the grey lenses. So, I'll take the same for these if anyone is interested?

I am!! I'm getting paid on Friday and getting the treats in before I have to strave again! But I'm selling my Minidisc Head Unit and 10 Disc Changer. So I may have a bit of cash. But mind you, I haven't gotten the exhaust yet.

Besides, you've just sent me a cheque for £30 haven't you?

Hi Chris,

Would you like me to drop off the lights to your parents at Folkestone on Sunday?

One of my rear light units is cracked and needs replacing. I would be interested to know what the smoked clusters look like. Has anybody got any photos of an S back end with these clusters installed ?

Alternatively - c14ppy, have you got the Ebay link to the lenses you bought ? I'm guessing there would be photos there.

Cheers guys.

heres some of my old S (opposite the Jolly Sailor as it happens)

and one of the GF's car alongside HarryW's V8 with "normal" lights.

podie has a good comparison photo hidden in the running costs section of his profile too. IMHO the dark sides look better on the darker colour S's than the lighter ones....

and if you want a replacement standard rear light let me know - we have a load in the garage after replacing 4 off the 2 S's and I'm about 10 minutes down the road!

Definitely maybe - depends what the smoked ones look like. If they are less 'Fordish' than standard then I'll probably go smoked. Failing that, I'll may well be in touch for the offside one of yours. Cheers.

Nice one, Phil. Thanks for the quick response.

I agree with your HO, the dark clusters do look good on a dark car. Mine's Italian Red (apparently - but very similar to Porsche Guards Red) and I think I prefer the look of the dark ones.

Will probably try and get hold of a pair of smokers but will bear in mind your offer of the standard clusters.

Nice write up on Le Mans BTW
