My car was serviced at the dealer it was purchased from prior to me buying it, but while the stamps are in the book, not all the receipts/job sheets were included with the history and receipts for 2003, 2007 and 2008 are missing. Is it possible to use the job number in the service book to get a past receipt from a dealership so that I can have a 'proper' service history, or is this type of thing not kept?

Cheers.

It should be on the DMS system of the dealer that carried out the service, as long as they haven't a, changed there DMS system, or b, haven't changed ownership/gone bust

When I bought my car I took it to Newbury Mazda and they could see the full service history from the original dealer in Southend. I don't think you'd need the original dealer for that. If you want copies of the receipts though I'd expect only the dealer that did the service could supply those and then probably only to the person who actually paid the bill.

If the car is registered post July 2005, it would be on Mazda's DSR system, so all dealers can see the SH

As the OP is missing a receipt from 2003, and can see the stamps in his service book, I'd hazard a guess it won't be on DSR - it could have been added after 05, but that still wouldn't contain details of services carried out before then
