Can't see any on Auto Trader or FOC classifieds - is there any way of telling if there are in fact any Royal Blue (sorry, don't know the correct name) 348 Spiders in the UK?

They do exist, I think the colour is called 'Chiarro Blue' although I'm sure some of our Feraristi would be better placed to confirm that....

The 348 at Arun is lovely - had a quick look on passing through to Goodwood on Sunday! Nice price too ;-)

Thanks for the link Maranello.

Got quite excited when I saw the "paint colours" section... until I discovered that there weren't any actual pictures of the colours!

I have registered anyway, so at least it's another source of info thanks.

Bob - sorry, but that's not the blue I'm after. The blue I'm thinking of is a bright royal blue.

I've been tempted to look at the 348 at Arun, anyone know the mileage or any other details about the car?

seems a lot of us do, I was due to go and have a look last saturday after dropping the TVR off for some work not too far away from there. Ended up going for lunch instead but may be tempted back soon.

if you do see the one at arun- then let me know the reg - I have a full inspection report on a 1993 348 tb in dark blue (tan interior) that I ahd done for a potential purchase a couple of years back - it may be the same car..

Also Arun had a LHD blue 348 stolen about 2 years ago (think it was a 1990 car) that I was going to look at until it dissapeared.

(So when checking out any blue 348 (tb) potential purchase make sure you get a full HPI on it - it could be stolen recovered - unlikely I suppose - but there are only a limited number in the UK so best to be safe...)

Thanks for the pics but I'm afraid it remains as frustrating as ever. The best I can do, short of actually finding a picture of it, is say it is same shade as Pantone 299 if that means anything to anyone out there, or, at a push Pantone process Blue (not Cyan)

It's lighter and brighter than the above pics and flat, not metallic. They have done M3s in it and also the Fiat Coupe.

What I think all this does do, is confirm that I don't think I'm going to find one in that colour. I've also been informed that they didn't produce Giallo yellow with Crema interior... so it looks like black or red it is then

Sorry to be ignorant, but what does the 'G' in GTS v TS or GTB v TB mean?

Are they a higher performance, as that is the one thing that worries me. 'On paper' I am losing a lot of performance coming from my 5 litre Griff. The Ferrari 348 is quoted at 5.6 0-60 against the Griff's 4.1, and 156 top end against 176.

I know these are paper figures, and put against my ability these times will be slower, but pro rata the Ferrari will still be 36% slower on that initial acceleration. Is it noticeable in real life

or, how easy/expensive is it to get them tweaked?

Thanks Tony - that stopped me going home for a few minutes!

So basically, the GTB, GTS & Spider all have the same spec yes?

At least I now know which model means what

I've tried that link Maranello and it doesn't seem to work... I'll have another go in the morning.

Thanks for all the help so far guys.
