I bought a scooter with a personal plate on and as it has no meaning to me, I made a few enquiries on the net and, subsequently had an offer.
I was offered £400. Thats the fiure I would receive, all transfer costs, including a new plate on my scoot were covered, and I would receive £400.
I asked for more, and was then offered £450. The guy at the company told me he has the buyer waiting, and has sent me the paperwork.
My realy question is how much commission will this company be adding on top?
Cheers

To put the plate on retention used to be £85. The replacement number plate comes free on transfer/putting on retention (the original plate if it was ever registered with one). Not sure how much a straight transfer is though. Is it actually a sale or a promise he has a buyer waiting?
