Footwell leak...
Discussion
Hello All,
Well... with all this wet weather, the Chim has developed a leak in the passenger footwell. Not sure where it's coming from, but the water seems to drip from left side of the footwell.
Any ideas...? Where are the likely places it can leak? Has any-one tried rad-weld as a way of leaking these types of leaks or does it make a complete mess.
Any help appreciated as I'm running out of news paper to soak up the water.
Many thanks
Kim

door seal is it seated in the bend's at front of door ? theres not many places it can leak that side ive had leaks from the bolts that hold fuse box in but thats when driving but it will be door seal but that means ns door seal roof front seal and os door seal 1 seal from side to side
My heater valve soaked the footwell, but the actual leak was tiny, way too small to affect the cooling. Big clue is that the water absolutely stinks and you can feel the antifreeze in it.
Otherwise clean the hood, re-black it and give it a couple of coats of Renovo or Fabsil going over the "ears" of the hood as many times as you can. I got much better results with Renovo, but others have found different.
It doesn't feel like the hood should help what looks like a footwell leak, but it did the trick in mine.

Thanks for the suggestion. The bottom windscreen rubber bit has come away slightly on the passenger side, but am surprised that is can be the cause of so much water in the footwell. What about the wiper arms area; can they be prone to leaking?
