Help! Front light stopped working (Bikeray3)

Cycling home in a very dark lane, my bikeray 3 light started to flash very quickly and essentially died. THought the battery was flat so charged it up over night. This morning still didn't work, wigled wires etc and came on for .5 secs then died.

The light started to flicker after i went over a bump, and it was raining a little last night. could water ingress be the problem? are these types of light prone to failure? can they be fixed?

My BLT rear light has similar issues, and I find that while to me they don't /look/ dirty, cleaning any easily accessible contacts with a WD-40 soaked cloth works wonders! Especially effective around the point where the batter contacts the circuit, especially given how much black crud comes off.
I do this every month or so or when it starts playing up - whichever happens first.
