Has there ever been one as it would be nice to see who has what and share our thoughts, appears there is a forum for practically every other marque!

Nothing wrong with it, just that other manufactures have their own sections...Mercs, BMW even Ariel!

+1 here as well, if other marques have their own section, then why not subaru???

after all, they seem a very popular car, someof the other forums out there are full of idiots, lets get them recognised on a true petrolheads site.

If you want one. Post the question up in the Website Feedback area http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&a...

They created one for MX5/Eunos. So if they they think there is enough interest they will make one.

I don't think a line has to be drawn, this is a website for enthusiasts so if the interest is there and RS owners club or the MG Midget club want their own page then surely they could?

another vote for a subaru sub-section here!

i dont get the answer in the thread linked above - why would they be concerned about a "quiet" sub forum? i doubt that the Ariel forum is the busiest in the world.

i'd prefer one here anyway as i cant get on with scoobynet - no one ever bothers to be jelpful.

Probably, there isn't a great deal of Subaru threads to be fair, I guess there are too many specific forums to go to instead.

Jap Chat is very quiet in general.

Ok worth a punt! If the scoob owners show themselves on this thread it'd be nice to see who has what for the purpose of future questions, banter etc...

The reason I think it's a bad idea is because I suspect it would be a backwater with very little traffic, and you would miss a critical factor in that people like me, who used to own a subaru and can offer some practical experience of when things go wrong, wouldn't bother looking at it.

As it stands, the Jap chat works well as the level of traffic is low enough for threads to not disappear of the first page within a day, and it means that ex-owners of all Jap marques will also contribute.

Besides there aren't enough bobble hats and triple 5 puffa jackets to go around hehe
