So. I will most definetly be getting a nice ban shortly for being a silly boy on the R6. Put on my big boy pants and sold the bike and car for the impending doom. SO i fancied building somthing for when i do get my license back, being able to work on it while im off the road.

Now i have a lot of space at work, a nice big yard too. I should* be handy with the tools and fancy getting stuck right in to buidling somthing fruity.

Budget would be 5K for car and mods. Labour will be provided by moi and mates.

  • Dad could pretty much build anything he could imagine. I would like to try. smile
Courts open to all suggestions. Drift / Stanced / Kit / Road legal track slag / Sleeper / anything!

Only bugbear would have to be road legal and have a roof. Rains quite a bit in Scotchland. Preferably car enginged wink

Over to you guys. WWPHD?

MR2 turbo with a knackered engine for 1k.

Spend your 4k on a T78, forged internals, fuelling, cooling, clutch, engine management and go have fun with 500bhp and your screamer pipe.

I done this and had a great time.

Stephen.

Pfft, no offence, but anyone can bolt a bigger turbo to a Toyota. What you want to do OP, is make something unexpectedly awesome that looks chav and crap for the full surprise factor.

Eg; 4wd Panda Turbo - all you need is a good engine, some sheet metal and pop rivets for the bodywork.

Or my favourite; a Yugo Integrale biggrin

mate the floorpan etc from a classic imprezza to something boring. Just need to find something with a similar wheelbase and track that is suitable.

Volvo 240 2640mm, Impreza 2520mm.

Is that close enough? Although you could have some proper hilarity just wedging a big V8 into the Volvo and driving it sideways everywhere.

A bobbed range rover, big jeep, Suzuki, off roadee thing etc.

Something slow :-P

Or if a road car, something old, lightweight, and small - ie will be fun buy you don't have to drive everywhere like your hairs on fire!
