I have heard a lot about convertables being cheaper in the winter than in the summer.

This makes a certain amount of logical sense. But aside from the inevitable PH 'reckons', what is the difference in terms of %? 5? 10? surely not more...

Not sure, it's helping as an excuse for me hold onto my Smart Roadster till Spring though when everyone asks when I am going to sell it, obviously come spring I will tell everyone I can't sell it having kept it for the winter now I should enjoy it, but that was only 200 miles this year :-(

I've been keeping an eye on MG TF prices since summer with a view to buy this winter, but have noticed bugger all price difference frown

The only thing that has changed is that there are fewer cars for sale.

Other makes and models may be more susceptible to seasonal price fluctuations though...

If you're talking to a dealer, it depends on whether you're trying to buy one from them or trade one in.

I bought a Tuscan convertible in may 2009. I got it for about £8k below Market price.
My point being that if your careful, look through all the adds, with a bit of luck, you will find what you want for a good price and the possible winter / summer variation will be irrelevant.
Good luck.

Well, there is a garage in my area, that has just dropped a 1.9 Z3, 1999, plate, I think, a grand, to £3999. And I do know of another immaculate 2lt Z3, one lady owner from new, FSH, about 55k, up for 4k 'ish, if anyones interested.
