Key Fob Unpredictable Unlocking

Hi,

Second time recently that I've returned to the Cerb and the keyfob did nothing - first time was in B&Q car park, was about to go and buy a screwdriver when it unlocked for me fine and all was good. Locked up as normal and no problems for a week or so until this evening when I returned to it in the garage after a few days of no use and it did the same, took quite a while to actually unlock - infact only unlocks when I was just about to give up.

I only have one fob so have been meaning to get a new one from Abacus (would these be the best people to talk to?), don't really want to take my current one to bits and replace the battery for fear of breaking it. Does this sound like a fob battery on its way out? It normally disarms from a good distance.

Try just changing the battery first, this worked for me! Had the same issues, got an energizer one which touch wood seems great! Just be very careful taking the fob apart as they are a bit fragile.

Had the same with mine. A quick trip down to Carl Baker who reprogrammed a couple of new ones & no props since.

If you have the code you can go to abacus as they can programme it and send it to you. Otherwise it's Carl. Imho
