For the amount of time and budget he had I don't think the photos are that great.

It's called a "move and shoot" rig - have to say I've seen it done better with the same kit - this springs to mind:

I agree. I think the tunnel was a pretty bland thing to do, especially in New Zealand of all places! I do, however, wish to reach the level of PP ability that his guy in Seattle has.

I haven't seen his other work, but I've got to say, it's all really basic stuff that was done on those shots. Even I could have done it tbh.

These are the best 'rig' shots I've seen in a little while. Completely different level of processing (and photography really)

See I like that style. I think it's just about real enough to look real, but wacky enough to be incredible. I'm sure that if it were blown up big it would just be incredibly good

I like the R8 shots. Nothing outrageous but oh-so clean. The only remarkable thing about the PP is that someone else did it, if he'd done it himself it'd just be accepted as part n parcel of the image build.

You're almost certainly right - 700px doesn't really do any photo justice, although is useful for hiding a multitude of sins on a bad photo!

For me the inconsistent light sources on these, plus the heavily processed backgrounds take away from what should be amazing shots with less processing. We can't all like the same thing though eh?

Fundamentally I think these really long rigs lose all the impact of a rig shot - might as well do car to car and save masses of time and money!
