ST Winter Tyres

Is it worth getting a set of winter tyres for my ST-2? Going to be completing about 7k miles over the next 4 months (which is normal) and i did struggle last year with the standard conti sport contact 3s.

any thoughts?

My ST in the snow last year just didnt happen. Its mainly down to the width of tyre. Our fiesta romped it, no problem with skinnier and dare I say almost at the end of their life tyres. No harm in trying a set on the front, but maybe just use the contis and if there is snow etc, just get some snow socks. Personally I will just use our mini now we have sold the fiesta, and hang the ST keys up if it snows. Most frightening thing I did in the ST last year was drive in a blizzard.

Been through 2 severe winters in my RS & never had any problems, even with 6 inches of snow!
