Overdrafts & direct debits

Right sorry if this sounds a bit of a noob question or anything stupid. But being 18 it's a bit new to me and id rather not screw myself up financially now and ruin my credit raiting allready. But anyway, im planning on using my overdraft for a week just to get my hands on a bit extra cash untill payday when I will pay it all off again which is no problem. However before then my phone contract is due to go out (my first payment so id rather not have that screwed either) but if im in my overdraft but theres enough money before my overdraft limit to pay the bill will the direct debit go through ok?

If there is enough money in your account including your overdraft amount it will go through.

Borrow £20 off a mate or something to get you through the week.

If you go over your overdraft limit, you will be charged a hefty fee.

Im taking 160 out of my overdraft, it wont be for more than ten days and i know the charges are only a pound a day.

Talk to the bank, and make sure it's agreed.

Ive allready set up a planned overdraft of £170 online which was approved there and then.
