Merc CLS - anyone got one?
Discussion
After playing with a friend's E55 Merc I started browsing (as you do) and came across a CLS500 with a professional and recently fitted LPG system.
I've always liked the shape of these but how good are they? Any known problems?
Really like the idea of waiting along in a barge with plenty of poke in 'reserve'.

Look at this little nugget of sex: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3419022.htm
We had a new CLS 320Cdi four years back.
Lovely car, loads of power very fast, very good on fuel economy...nearly 38 mpg.
Bad points:-
Not much headroom in the back, due to sloping roof.
Depreciation:- They drop like a concrete parachute, we paid 45k cash for ours on a 57 plate, now worth around 17k.
Having said that a mint low mileage four year old one would be a cracking buy.

Don't own one, but drove my father-in-law's CLS500 a lot. He's just traded it in for a new model CLS350.
The CLS500 was a lovely place to be- felt very special. The V8 can shift too- but you've really got to give it some stick to hear it! The steering is way to light though, no steering feel to it.
The biggest drawback is the rear is quite claustrophobic for passengers- windows are very small, and is is strictly 2 seats only in the back. Not an isue if you're the driver!
