A friend has offered me a Hitari 1/11 Honda Civic Type R model for £30 - is this worth bothering with as my 3 and a half year old daughter would love this and it would provide me with some amusement too - would it be a waste of money?

Just a quick google shows up its atleast 5years since this was last made so unless it was stuck in a shops storeroom its quite old.
A quick visit to my local toymaster today and I looked at some entry level rc when I was going up the stairs. For £35-£50 you'll be able to get something brand new that will be more fun that a civic, maybe something with higher clearance?
Only an example but shows what you can get.

Thanks all, any other reccomendations? I'd love something that's rugged like in the link above but quicker...

You could search eBay for a good second hand truck. Something like a Tamiya Lunchbox or Midnight Pumpkin
