Having enjoyed some great seasons in PH FM3, I’m a bit late to the PH Forza 4 forums so forgive me if there are many other championships going on already and everyone has enough to do.

I thought I would see if anyone was interested in this sort of championship. It’s for the sort who don’t do / can’t do ‘tuning’ and would prefer to simply accept the car and try to get the best out of it (I seem to make everything worse than it started off anyway).

You just take a standard car, add a bit of power if the headroom is there with the PI and go race the thing!
I’d love a grid of the Golden Oldie cars from the 50’s and 60’s (the noises are fabulous and the interiors wonderful). We’re talking more Gentlemanly Racing from a bygone era than Fast ‘n’ Furious.

You probably already know if this something you’ll like or not...
The cars tend to have soft suspension and hence dive, squat and pitch around – all part of the charm. The brakes are often a bit crap – you just start to brake earlier. All aids off, so no TC / STC / ABS

Cars can be PI’d up to C425 – this is not that fast, but it keeps the racing close and feels plenty busy enough sawing away behind the wheel of a wayward classic.

Mods: only normal power upgrades allowed, no engine swaps – you’ll have to work around the period suspension, brakes, tyres and some weird gear ratios / final drives!

I’m thinking slightly longer races – approx 30min. Also, considering real tyre/fuel usage and simulation damage to encourage some look-after-the-car-and-don’t-crash racing.

Dec is busy for all, so probably look to start in Jan and run on Sunday nights at 9pm – sure we can arrange a few testers in the next few weeks though.

If there is enough interest to get a grid together, I’ll sort tracks / diary etc.
Open to everyone who registers an interest.

There are quite a few cars to choose from (it’s not one each, pick what you like, duplicates will be interesting – I’ve taken off some of the late 60’s yank tanks as they got a bit big and ugly (and won’t make the replay photos look ‘classic’ enough smile)

Although I've not been involved with any of the other series or championships I'd be well up for this one, the racing would be interesting and I love the chosen cars

put me down for an E type Jag, but one question most of these cars look far better without the chrome bumpers, can I take them off or do we have to leave them on?

I think chrome off should be allowed, it does up the coolness quite a lot.
