Well, it's finally happened, one of the kids kicked a small hard ball (despite being told umteen times not to play football in the house) which hit the tv and broke the screen. When you switch it on it looks like a stone chip on a windscreen, but when it's off ou can't see any damage at all. Does anyone know if this sort of damage is repairable or is it a nwe tv job?

Cheers,

TBH its rarely worth the cost as a new 40" could be had for less than spares and labour. Accidental damage on house insurance?

You're probably right unfortunately. Time to start looking for a new one then.
I don't think we have accidental damage cover, but worth double checking the paper work just in case I guess.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Depends on your TV, i fitted a new screen to a 32" Sony yesterday, the cost of the screen was £90 so some of them are not as expensive as they used to be.

Hi Neil,

You're not wrong ha ha!

I'm still enjoying the squeezebox when I get a chance (sadly not often enough though)
