Divisive. But Bloody Quick
Discussion
Mindful of the review by Mr Harris in EVO, and in consideration of a documentary I watched recently (Megafactories on National Geographic Channel), I decided to trawl the 'tube.
Now, I suspect that many - like Chris - have no time for Koenigsegg. Lack of pedigree / bloke with more money than sense / bit of an ego trip etc etc. I'd be inclined to agree, somewhat, in that much that I have read about their products leads me to believe that BHP is king at the expense of agility and handling (Marc Basseng stacked a 900bhp CCX at the 'ring back in 2008)
However.
Watching the following clip? The straight line performance of the Agera is - well - astonishing.

One lad builds all of Koenigsegg's engines. By hand.
I - for one - say Fair Play.

I don;t think the lack of pedigree is "that" important. Look at Pagani. It's the more the fact that the cars were hideously unrelaible when launched and as you say weren't renowned for their handling prowess either.Though a crash at the ring is not that unlikely with attempts at lap times.

McLaren crashed their latest car at the Ring too, and that is supposed to be renowned as a pretty good handler. With all the manufacturers throwing their best at lap times there, you have to expect a few offs. Besides, 900bhp and much less weight than a Veyron, it was never going to be a pussycat. As for the Chris Harris review, which I found to be aloof, disinterested and not disimilar to a petulent child in tone, I would not put too much stock in that. When you get to this end of the market, it's more about a stylistic choice than anything else, they will all have broadly similar weight, loads of power and way more performance than you could ever dare to use on the road, or the track.
