Main dealer discounts this time of year

Without wanting to risk the ire of the resident car dealers on PH, I'm thinking of buying a toy for the summer and was wondering what kind of discounts main dealers might be offering this time of year? Looking at 1 year old cars from Audi, BMW, and Mercedes, and it'll most likely be a convertible. Budget around £25k.

I don't really have to get one, but if I might get a better deal now rather than in a few months time then i'll consider it.

You might get a better deal but then you probably wont use your toy until spring and in the meantime you will loose your savings in depreciation.

I can't say I've been looking, but in December are dealer forecourts really full of convertibles?

Well i've been looking up the cars in question online and dealers seem to have a fair amount of 2010/2011 stock available. Thats why I wanted to ask about whether it would be a good time to buy.

On the other hand the (convertible) stock will probably be more expensive in spring, so one thing might cancel the other out.

Mercedes dealers have a lot of bonus money on many models at the moment - saw (was in the dealership on business) 14% given off a C63 a couple of days ago

When I was in the trade we were VERY interested in deals inbetween Christmas and new year, desperate to hit year end targets.
