I expect there is probably a thread somewhere for this but i'm sure the answers will be quite quick as to where to go.
I would like to consider going down the latest route of new ECU for fuel and sparks. I know there are 2 or 3 aftermarket systems out here of which Megajolt seems to be the most talked about. Is this a competent DIY job, if so who is the best people to go to for the system and more important, back up, secondly who would you guys use for a turnkey install and what sort of costs am I looking at for 2000 4.5ltr

thanks

Go and look at all the posts by daxtojeiro, he does the megasquirt stuff, but theres always plenty of input on other ECU installs in there as well from other posters. Worth going back a few years.

I used an Autronic SM-4 took a lot of sorting out but the results were worth it. The imortant thing is to find someone who can do teh mapping properly (took me three attempts to find the right person. From what I found its'relativly' easy to get peak power, the hard bit is to get cold starting and round town flexibility
