So, a dead pigeon has appeared in the garden in the last hour or so.
No visible signs of damage or attack.
Looks healthy enough (well apart from being a bit stiff), feathers all intact.
Did it die of boredom?
Something it ate?
Or is this something sinister, should I expect headless rabbits any time soon?

Very few animals "just die". Birds will get eaten by something long before they die of old age. If one gets a cold, for example, it'll probably be dopey enough to get caught by a cat.mybrainhurts said:
