Evening all,

I'm looking to pick a set up. Are there any others to consider other than le Creuset?

Loads.

TK Maxx and outlet centres are the places to go looking.

I think get larger than you think you need, though bear in mind SWMBO may not be able to lift them.

Lodge is an American company but have UK outlets

I have one of their small skillets and its very good, however they are heavy. Not as nice looking as as le creuset though.

Dunelm Mill do cast iron stuff at good prices.

Yes. If I didn't have 8 or 9 LC cast iron items already, I would by Staub.

That said, the price of LC these days has jumped alot over the years. I think I only paid around 30 quid for LC 20cm casserole pot only 8 years ago.

I have an IKEA caserole pot that works well enough at a fraction of the price of an LC.
