I don't know how popular this would be and I haven't thought the logistics through but I am thinking that as there are some amazing shots on the top 5 thread, maybe we could put in a vote for the top 12 and make a calendar with proceeds going to a charity.

What do you think?

Over to someone that know s more about calendar printing on the cheap.

In principle a great idea and I would be happy for anything I have to be used but the logistics would take some sorting out wouldn't they (ie taking the orders, sorting the money out etc )?

I'm ok with it, plenty of places online that will do a calendar and manage sales but I think we've left it way too late.

Also some of mine are with getty, tho this would probably come under self promotion rules.

I kind of think we may a be a bit late, but how about we start a new Calendar competition in January, in which there is no theme, but simply people submit their best image from that month and the winner is chosen as the calendar picture for that month.
How I envisage this working is that in Jan people submit their best image taken in December, Feb - Jan's image and so on. Like the challenge the previous month's winner choses the next or we could implement a voting system. In December next year we have a closing date of the end of the first week, which would allow time upload the images in order for people to order in time for xmas/new year.

This sounds like a good idea! Shame we missed the boat this year as there are some outstanding images on the top 5 thread.
