...I would post a new thread seeing as fluk all has happened in this section for ages.

Does no one have anything interesting to say? There must be something? Who do you hate on Big Brother? Who should be evicted on Friday, the chain smoking Tranny with the annoying laugh or the anorexic shirt lifter?

The Elise passed its MOT yesterday with only a £2 brake bulb needing to be replaced. Just had to fork out £165 for road tax as well so its cost me a fair whack this week. Giving it a top to toe clean and polish on Sunday as my alloys are now mat black with brake dust.

Anyone out driving this weekend?

Thats probably because everyone is out enjoying their cars rather than stuck inside, wishing they were out enjoying the sunshine, while it lasted

Not out this weekend but I am often found blasting around brecon on nice days. I will let you know when I am planning the next sorte.

Think I will vote for the chain smoking tranny for eviction. They both really pi55 me off but stick boy will wind his neck in when (s)he has gone.

Anyone getting drunk while watching Portugal v Holland tonight?

Changed my mind. After tonights performance I picked up the phone and voted for Marco. Smug little bum bandit. I hope he gets his skinny mincing ar5e kicked out on Friday (sorry I have been drinking)

Who watched the football? Didnt quite live up to expectation but Portugal were superb. Figo was awesome, his shot that hit the post at the end of the first half was amazing. Couldnt believe when the second goal (cant remeber scorer) beat it. Think they will go on to win

Hi,

Myself and a couple of mates have decided to organise a track day at Llandow circuit.

This is not a cruise or show, simply an oppurtuinty for people to try their cars out on a local track at a reasonable cost.

Dates which are being suggested at the moment are either Monday 16th August or the Friday 20th August. The Monday gives you the chance to prep your car over the weekend, the Friday gives you the chance to have an early start to your weekend. Either way its enough notice in advance for you guys to sort yourselfs out and doesnt clash with any other event as far as i can tell.

Here's the how the day is planned at the moment:
9am Driver and passenger check in.
9.30am Driver briefing.
10am Start on track.
1-2pm Lunch.
2-5pm Afternoon session.

Food - Tea, coffee and rolls will be available from the canteen on site.

There will be breaks for marshalls to grab something to eat/drink during the morning and afternoon sessions, no more than 10mins each time approx. This allows a good track time of 5hours and 30mins provided the weather doesnt turn to the point where its dangerous to be on track, no one wants a crashed car or hurt person. There will also be a properly trained paramedic and ambulance at the track side should the worst happen, not a nice thing to mention but i'm sure you'll feel safer to know that there is a properly trained medic in attendance.

There will be a maximum of 25 cars so spaces are limited. This means that we will for the morning at least run sessions, this will give a maximum of 8 cars at a time 15mins of track time before another the next group are sent out. In this rotation system of 3 groups you will as a minimum get 2 hours of track time. Interuptions such as crashes, offs or oil on track can interfere with track time, im sure your all mature enough to realise this. For the afternoon we will investigate the posibility of running an open pit.

Costs
Full day - £80.
Extra driver - £20.
Passengers - free but only one passenger per car.

All drivers must have a full uk license. All cars must have MOT, road tax and be in road worthy condition. If your car is deemed to be un roadworthy on inspection at 9am you will be refused track entry, there will be no refund. Unroadworthy cars are a danger to everyone. Race & Rally cars - you must contact me. Everyone must bring their own helmets, no helmet, no track time at all. No exceptions, we are looking into arranging helmet hire but no garantees yet.

Insurance. I have arranged insurance to organise this event, however as with all track days there is no insurance or liability for any accidents which happen on track. If you want track insurance i can put you in touch with companies which will be able to offer you track day cover.

I believe i've covered everything, any questions, fire away. So, who's in?

---------------------------

I've posted the above on a couple of forums and im hoping to generate interest, its not in competition to bookatrack but the basis of launching a performance car enthusiast site/club based in Wales.

If anyone is interested or has question contact me on nic_dale@hotmail.com. It looks like its going to be the 20th August.

I'm usually on the Evo forum and theres a thread running there as well, hope to see you guys there!
