Anyone else getting pushed back on the waiting list for the Cayenne.

Had a new Turbo placed in September for November build and after keep getting pushed back I'm now told it could be March 2012 before I get a build slot.

Also, apparently there is only 12 coming into the UK next year?????

Anyone else keep getting pushed back???

Have you ordered the car with the Sport Design kit ?

As I think they hav supply issues, looking at the configurator looks like Porsche have removed it.

Mate of mine's just ordered a Diesel, he's got a relaxed window April/May/June. 12 Turbo's sounds about right...

Can't be right - that must be per dealer.

Porsche chap I met said they had completely underestimated demand for the Diesel. They all thought the Hybrid would be the one everyone wanted, but apparently it doesn't even drive as well as the petrol/diesel models.

It may be that UK dealers are trading Turbo allocations for Diesels.

Cayenne Turbo is £100k with a few options...I reckon 12 is about right. I live near to a pretty affluent area of the country and you just don't see new Cayenne Turbo's knocking about.

Similar delivery time for a mate of mine with his Diesel order too.

I ordered mine in September for a November build date, but now been advised I've got a March build date and need to finalise my spec. Apparently there are only 12 Turbo's scheduled for the UK for 2012

12 in total is far too few IMHO. I'd expect sales to be in the 100's tbh (there are plenty of people with enough wedge) and that would still be rare enough to not see another one regularly even in affluent areas of the country.

Was just thinking. Who would have thought that the best Porsche to buy now days would be a Cayenne(esp diesel). The only Porsches to hold some money when buying new.

Demand for the Diesel is still very very strong. I have a deposit down on one as a family hack and could be April/May.

Turbo a more limited market but looks like limited demand meeting very limited supply.

I think it is mainly Porsche dealer hype. I had a new Cayenne Turbo last year and struggled to get Porsche dealers to give a bid on it when selling it even though they would tell you there was an eight month wait for a new one. It lost far more than the Range Rover 5.0 petrol that it replaced. Think it was £16,000 in less than a year!

Not really, I think they only made about 1500 996 MK1 GT3s in total worldwide and I have seen loads of them and have known quite a few owners.
