Hi guys,

I have had the car in the garage for a few weeks to get the diff refurbished and while I was at it a few other jobs were triggered. I thought it was logical that while the diff was out I should replace the speedo sensor with a Steve Heath unit and while the dash was out to fit the clever interface box I should get it and the switch pannel refurbished.

Anyway to cut a long story short, got the dash back from London Carriage Craft who have done an awsome job (Ill post pics when I have finished).

I have refitted all of the gauges, switches and stuff and reconnected the power.

When I started testing things everything seamed ok apart from the passenger side electric window didn't work and when the switch was pressed the passenger side indicators came on.

When I turned the ignition on I tried a few more circuits (hazards ok, indicators ok) and turned on the side lights and heard a pop of the fuse after about a second. It was the 15A Lights and Hazards fuse that had popped.

Im not sure but I think that the headlights may have come on when the switch was pressed sound silly but I assume the headlights are in the cowels??)

I have looked in the bible but can't find the gauges on the wiring diagram,I am having one of those post work.....agh what have I done moments! I was pretty careful to put the wires back on the gauges in the same places. The wires were removed from the electric window switches but not the light switches.

Any help or link to a decent wiring diagramme would be massively appriciated.

All the best

Mark

Sorry...I should have pointed out it is a 1994 pre-serp griff with what I think is early style wiring.

You may have trapped a wire when reassembling that is now possibly earthing or somehow connecting the window motor to the lights circuit.

Check carefully the cable from the window switch to see if anything is trapped.

If you've been working on the dash have you done anything to the aux relay panel - thats where the flashers and relays for each side are located. Otherwise sounds more like an earthing problem than fusebox OTOMH.
