Hi,

Recently, the driver's side door has stopped registering when I do the central locking 'unlock'. This means currently I'm having to go in via the passenger's door, turn the middle knob to pop driver's door open.

However, when I central lock it, the driver's door does appear locked if I access it via the normal wing mirror button.

Any ideas? Costly to fix?

Thanks,
Dave

May be the switch in the sill. They do seem to get lots of crud in them.
Worth having a check as easy fix and not too expensive.

Could be the sill switch as said above, or the unlock solenoid (maplins part - located in the body behind the door catch), or the relay Which is located under the dash far left (passenger side - large relay), there are some threads on here where people have had similar problems.
A relay can be had of ebay.( apparently).
