Personally, I would be heading up into the Dales from Leeds, there's some lovely drives around there, although it does take a wee while to get there.. B6255 fron Ingleton to Hawes is definitely worth a go, if yourre heading that way, and from hawes, hit the "buttertubs Pass".. there's definitely a lot of fun to be had that way...
also, if you head towards Keighley, then Haworth, there are some good drives around that neck of the woods. can be done in a loop from there, right around halifax, huddersfield, and into barnsley...

There is a road on the way back from (EDIT - HARROGATE) to Leeds that has some massive twists in, and a reet steep hill. only ever go down it when i drive back, never seem to find it on the way there. our lass was terrified, i loved it! :-)
