Does it really need more power? Seem to remember these having quite a substantial share of horses anyway.
Only has 390odd.............. so a supercharger plus twin turbo's plus big exhaust and fat wheelsmmmmmm.!!!! lovely.

Mark.
[Sorry, must learn to keep myself in check].

[900bhp though...that's not bad].

hi lads, just joined the forum!! have just had my 00 cl600 engine rebuilt and back on the road, was thinking about putting a supercharger on it.is this possible???
Did the oil cooler go?Honest opinion: sell it and buy a 2003 onwards CL55 (supercharged) or CL600 (biturbo).
Your car is more than quick enough for day to day use in the UK unless you want to go autobahning and even then, you will be outaccelerating about 95% of the cars you will see on the road there.

+1it would be pointless to add a supercharger! Just the sell the car and buy a CL55, adding your own would likely cost a lot more and would risk flagging up other engine issues in the future which is the LAST thing you want on an early 00's big-engined merc
one of the head gaskets was perished, causing a serious weep.thought it was the oil cooler.so engine out and got all gaskets replaced.was very lucky as the whole job only cost 1700 euro,so happy days.done abit of research on the supercharger, not gonna happen to costly and as some of you have pointed out there are other risks.cl55 maybe someday.cheers lads, will put pics up when i get them of mechanic.
