How can I find out the make of car a numberplate belongs to?

m520 pnp specifically. It was a large 4x4 dark green / blue. I've tried doing vehicle enquiry for nissan, daihastsu, ford, toyota, vauxhall but who else back then made large 4x4s? You need to know the make for it to continue...
