I am sure this thread has been done before, but just had a long test drive in another 964 C4. 1 owner, everything perfect - service history, external and internal condition, engine and so on, only 55k on the clock, 91H. Only wanted £15k..but its like a shiny egg plant colour...a purpley winey..is it amethyst. But brought it home and looked at it again, and thought what a yucky colour scheme, when seeing it in the cold light of day. I'll stick with my guards red C4 964..and forget about this so-called bargain.

What colours are best for each of the 911 variants thru to modern day..any views?

In my eyes the rare colours on 964s eg Colbolt Blue, Diamond Blue, Silver etc make them much easier to sell on as there is less choice for the buyer.

Woolfie,

If it's not too much trouble, please send me the details of this car via my profile as I am seriously considering upgrading my 911 to a 964.

I kind of like aubergine / purple as an external body colour. What is the colour of the interior? Is it full leather?, sports seats, teardrops, 17" turbo cups perchance.....????

Many thanks in advance ,

Leszek.

its all standard..so design 90 wheels with SO2s, the stnd mirrors, white linen leather seats, purple steering wheel and dash..But in great condition. It was passed onto me via my work connections. If you are interested, you might not be able to get it at the rate i am able. e-mail me your details and I'll pass onto the garage who are organising its sale. It will go onto a forecourt somewhere at £17950; i know that for sure. If I could somehow live with the colour i would have def. got it but can't and cant be arsed to buy and sell on..too much hassle all round...

For me the exterior colours are a matter of personal taste but some look better than others and to some degree it depends if you want to stand out or blend BUT FFS some of the interiors are so gross that they beggar belief. How anyone can live with a white interior (unless you have aspirations to wear loon pants and emulate Huggy Bear from Starsky and Hutch!) Some of the others are almost as bad

I was talking to the guys at Hartech the other day about upgradi9ng to a 993 & mentioned that I fancy a Silver or Black one with the Boxster Red leather & they told me that they wouldn't buy this combination as they thought it would be hard to sell on.
Seems like a lot have the Grey (Elephant hide) interiour........
To my mind you just buy what you like, having said that if the savings are big for a wrong'ish colour then if you arn't that botherd then why not.

Autobahn have a metallic black TT with Boxster red leather interior on their stock list at the moment.

Me? - I'm far too conservative - I like my marble grey interior
