What's yours? I'm talking the kind of food that you get in from the pub/party etc and just want. Something quick and easy that both fills a hole and lays the path for a less violent hangover.

I recently discovered the 5 minute chocolate cake in a cup which is absolutely ideal for me - Spongey enough to soak up some of the ale, sweet enough to wake my mouth up a bit yet also quick enough that I don't fall asleep stood up making it.

recipe if you're interested:
3 table spoons plain flour (not self raising!),
3 table spoons sugar
2 table spoons cocoa powder
1/4 tea spoon baking powder
1 egg
2 table spoons oil
2 table spoons milk.

- Mix all dry ingredients in a large coffee mug, add egg and mix well, add oil & milk and mix again.
- Microwave for 2.5 to 3 minutes (it may spill over the top, so kitchen roll on the base is advised!)
- Either set out onto a plate or eat out of the mug.

Kebab...

There are even establishments who will sell you one on the way home too, most will sell you some chips as well if you ask nicely.

Cake after ale?!?!? What is the world coming to....

The Cake in a Mug has been fantastic for us, sitting at just under 300,000 views on Youtube at the mo!

My favourite for coming home drunk though is a quesadilla...just have a few stacked up in the fridge, and only take 5 min or so to cook up when you get home!

Dammit! I though I'd invented something new with this cake in a mug thing! Can't access YouTube at work, but is the recipe the same/similar to mine?

OP if you can remember/read your list and instructions you are clearly failing on the "come home drunk" idea somewhat.

Haha it's similar...but ours takes less than 5 minutes ;-)

We've got a couple of different versions...a chocolate one and a white chocolate and cranberry one!
