Hi Guy's

just had Adrian Flux quote me, seemed a bit high to me. I may have to bight the bullet though.

anyone recommend any other Classic or Modified insurance company's / brokers. I am 23 now which I think is the cut off for most classic policy's.

Well I think my 1986 golf classes as classic?

Advise much appreciated.

Adrian Flux are, in my opinion, time wasters. Have never been within 50% of the final price I've paid.

I’ve got my road legal race car with all mods declared insured through Hagerty’s for under £200.
Being over twice your age helps though, but living in East London balances it out a bit.

I got my Mini insured through Elephant - they do classic car insurance now. Pretty good rate, Flux wouldn't touch me (I'm 21) and a friend of mine, who has a Morris Minor insured through Footman James, pays more than me despite being the same age, and my Mini having several modifications on it. Worth a call I suppose.

Interesting...I usually find the same, but for the first time in quite a few years, Adrian Flux have been most competitive for my Exige, undercutting the Elephant and Admiral (my current insurer) quotes by a good margin.

Try Greenlight, they're very good on prices for modified cars.

Another vote for A-Plan, but make sure you get through to their specialist schemes team at the Thatcham office. Different Number I think, or ask to be put through. Have been with them for years on a modified Jap import, always on the money and it makes a refreshing change to have someone on the other end of the phone with a brain and some knowledge. smile
