Can any of our resident ophthalmic people recommend someone to help me in the London area please?

I'm about to have a nervous breakdown from the constant twitching, especially worse at work! Has been coming and going for the last 6-12 months, but present most of the time last 1/12.

Stress levels aren't going to reduce any time soon, I know symptoms will subside over Xmas but return in Jan frown

Thanks smile

Moorfields might be a basis to start, I'll ask around.
I'm assuming you've had your eyes tested properly and recently?
You could try the Institute Of Optometry for a good unbiased opinion but I'm not sure when their clinics will start/restart.

Blepharospasm is a condition that needs specialist assessment and intervention. I would not recommend a cosmetic Botox practitioner, as the underlying cause needs some investigation.

I would certainly agree that moorfields is a good place. You are best looking for a neuro ophthalmologist such as Mr Acheson. I would certainly recommend medical evaluation first by the neuro ophthalmologist.

Thanks all, especially grateful for a recommended person to look up. Predictably has stopped now I'm home for Xmas, work wise it is noticeably worse in one practice. (lights/stress?)

My dentist also is a botox practitioner, but I agree this is well outside his scope.

See how January goes, but I definately need to make some time for myself next year. smile
