I need to program my Racepak display for the fuel gauge. The instructions from Racepak appear to be straight forward, but it does require that I fill the tanks. I was hoping to do the programming prior to actually filling the fuel tanks. Does anyone know if the fuel sender can be remove from the tank and turn upside down to simulate the tank being full, or if something else can be done. My thought was that if it works like a float it might just slide up and down to simulate full and empty.

I did some search on the form but did not find anything. Does anyone have any thought?

Thanks,

Randy

Bearing in mind that the tanks are not uniform in shape. It is best to calibrate your gauge at different levels of fill if possible to give true readings. Why are you worried about doing this before putting fuel in anyway?

Not really worried. I have the car up on a stand and some more work to do be before dropping the car down to start the engine for the first time. I was thinking I could check one more thing off the list if it was possible to do. Good point on the shape.

Thanks

You will most likely find you can calibrate in quite a number of steps in which case your gauge will read accurately despite the change in shape.
