Just read a thread on the general forum bout TVR power turbo offering that appears to have died a death. I got caught speeding back in November and since then have tried to drive everywhere I go within the speed limit. By and large I've managed this but every bast*rd with something that has wheels and an engine has overtaken me everywhere I've been. Don't want to bang on about how unfair this is as even though it was a momentary spurt that put no one in danger and I'm a driving God it was a fair cop. My Chim is NA. When ragging it I change up somewhere North of 6000 rpm. It begs me to do this, and the noise is epic. Actually it's more than epic. It's Biblical. This has me just under 100 leptons before changing into fourth, and the accompanying noise is like the four horseman of the apocalypse biting your arse. I'm thinking this turbo thing on an RV8 could be truly terrifying, possibly more so than a supercharger, which, to an extent sounds like a 'lazy' low cost way of going faster. I have a fairly hairy cam in my motor, and over 4000 rpm it all gets very busy.... And very quick. So, what do you really want ? Really really want ? I've actually enjoyed being passed by everything on the road knowing that an extension of the right foot would engage the warp drive.... It's very pleasant driving at 'normal' speeds just enjoying the feel and the burble (and the admiring looks or angry stares) I've actually rediscovered the enjoyment of driving slowly.....

I just wonder what driving slowly with the twin turbo set up might be like whistle

Driving 'slowly' with a nitrous kit is suprisingly similar to an NA set up.
In fact its the same wink
Driving fast with a nitrous kit is outrageuos and makes you wonder why people with all that expensive constant problem stuff under the bonnet bother tongue out

I wish it would all stop hehe. I am now wanting a new 5ltr or supercharger and my newly built 4.3 has only done about 1k miles.

In all seriousness though even my 4.3 pulls like a train and is plenty quick enough.

This bhp thing just goes on and on.

Well ive just emailed TVR power, im half way there, got meagasquirt and reasonable sized injectors but the chassis is at the limit , want to save the engine so 400bhp is a nice round figure .Im not gong to chase even bigger numbers..I want a supercharger on a low boost..

The single turbo kit Power are currently testing is not far behind where you are on a standard 400, torque is way ahead.
